An Introduction to How My IVF Alternative Began

Dear Fertility Warriors,

As one of the 9.3 million "baby challenged" women in the US, not only have I experienced the emotional stress from the inability to conceive, but the huge out of pocket cost for In vitro fertilization has only made it worse. We had three options:

1. Get a loan for the IVF costs (get deeper in debt).
2. Give up on having a child.
3. Search for alternative IVF options.
   

My husband and I are fighters and achievers – we were determined to find a better way. We were looking for IVF alternatives to our fertility situation. Not only were we disappointed with our IVF doctor here in Atlanta, GA; the IVF cost of IVF treatment was another major "red light". However, when we started our research on IVF, we were amazed at what we began to uncover.  People of all ages and conditions are traveling the world to get quality IVF treatment for MUCH less than in the US.  In addition, there are great options such as traveling abroad for IVF vacations.

Together we focused our IVF treatment research on my home country – the Czech Republic. To our surprise we found that there are several private IVF clinics treating foreign patients for IVF, Donor Egg IVF and Donor Embryos for less. Already, we began to feel like we had options with In vitro fertilization - already we were closer to achieving our dream of starting a family.

We are thrilled to share with you a program we developed to make getting pregnant with IVF, in only 8 to 14 days, and egg donor IVF in just 7 days, an affordable, pleasant, and fun in vitro fertilization experience.

How does shopping, sightseeing, spa treatments, massages, history and quality time alone, or with your close friends or family sound?

I believe that the decision to start a family with IVF should not be made more stressful by insurance companies dictating what we can and cannot do when it comes to IVF treatment. As a result, my husband and I have decided to form My IVF Alternative to help other couples and to offer in vitro fertilization for less than in the US.

Our IVF Treatment Program is an affordable and pleasant experience for In vitro fertilization.  Our IVF treatment and IVF vacation package is an 8 to 14-day itinerary, and our egg donor IVF treatment and IVF vacation package is a 7-day itinerary. In addition to a world class medical care you will receive when undergoing your IVF treatment, you share a relaxing vacation that offers sightseeing and spa treatments, and an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful, historic cities of the Czech Republic and other nearby countries, such as Austria, Hungary, Germany, Poland and more.

You will need a valid United States passport to enter the Czech Republic and then re-enter the US.  US citizens do not need a visa for a stay up to 90 days. Permanent residents (green card holders) with passports from other countries should visit Czech Embassy's website and verify if they need a visa to enter the country. We can assist you in obtaining the necessary visa to enter the Czech Republic.

The latest Czech legislation also mandates that all foreigners entering the country must have a proof of health insurance (For more details, visit the website for the Czech Embassy in Washington, D.C.). A current health insurance card may be sufficient. If you do not have health insurance in the US, you can obtain a coverage card from a travel site where you purchase your airfare. We have found a great insurance covering more than just medical but also lost baggage, cancelled flights, damages to others and more. If possible, we recommend couples to fly directly to Brno, as it is the most comfortable way to travel and a My IVF Alternative coordinator can pick you up directly at the airport. If you are flying into any other airport, we’ll guide you to Brno or assist you in arranging for personal transportation. Upon your arrival in Brno, your coordinator guides you to your accommodations in Brno where you can relax and prepare yourself for your IVF treatment and In vitro fertilization vacation.

Travelling to Europe is seasonal; therefore, airfare varies. The cost of airfare from New York has been as low as $599 in the off season (November to April), and $799 in the high season (May to October). More info on airfare can be found in our extensive IVF travel guide.
